Creating Possibilities in Manufacturing: The Abu Dhabi Advantage “, a meeting of commercial knowledge and comparison between 25 companies in the South and
the embassy of the United Arab Emirates , with the aim of undertaking a common path with enormous repercussions for the economy of Campania and the entire South.
Specifically, entrepreneurs representing various sectors were present: industrial construction, crafts, hotels, high fashion, gastronomy, security, artificial intelligence, aerospace, small metal parts, biofuels. ”
It was a very important day – commented Vincenzo Schiavo, vice president
of Confesercenti with responsibility for Southern Italy and president of
Confesercenti Campania – and we were pleased that there was also the presence of some mayors from Campania who wanted to join in order to find solutions for entrepreneurs in their territory. We were welcomed magnificently by the ambassador to Italy of the United Arab Emirates,
Abdulla Ali Alsubousi . The ambassador told us how important his country is for the GDP it expresses and for the speed of its economy, in these very complicated years”.
President Vincenzo Schiavo recalled the absolute importance of the Emirates in the European economy. The value of annual trade in goods between the EU and the United Arab Emirates amounts to 55 billion euros, while trade in services reaches 39 billion . Abu Dhabi is the first partner for European exports in the Gulf region and the main recipient of European direct investments, which today amount to 186 billion euros. In the last year alone, European exports to the country have grown by 15%, and by 48% compared to 2019. The meeting between the parties was very fruitful and will certainly generate future trade agreements and business synergies.
